The beginning of Spring can be an uplifting thing. As you step outside you feel the warmth on your skin, the smell of the air, you hear the birds chirping and finally some resemblance of flowers and trees budding. I love how spring can instantly lift your spirit's and clear your mind.
As I was deciding what to write about, I couldn't help but bask in the warmth of the sun, while feeling very happy with my beauty choices this week.
This week has been the week of the microdermabrasion and the week of nail polish.
First, I received a manicure and pedicure by one of our fantastic student estheticians. During my appointment I am always in a quandary about what color will set the tone of my weeks ahead. When I look down at my toes, what color will bring a smile to my face and grab the attention of others, lets face it, we love when other people think we are beautiful. I chose an outrageous neon orange for my toes, sounds horrific, I know, but I am absolutely in love with it. And for my fingers, there are too many to choose from. I am really in love with the OPI Holland collection and of course the Hunger Games collection from China glaze. Today however I am sporting a turquoise matte.
Other than looking like a child, I LOVED my student esthetician, her sweet demeanor and professionalism was impressive and her youthful look made me want to do some major work on my face.
Although there is no competing with her (she was just beautiful) I did love my skin after my microdermabrasion. After a late appointment, I didn't need to touch my face before bed, so this morning, when I jumped into the shower and started washing my face, I couldn't stop feeling it, how smooth and soft it felt. I knew at this moment, microdermabrasion was going to become my new addiction.
Now that my face looks amazing and my nails are polished I am ready for the season, and when I think of spring I will think of the clean air, budding leaves and flowers, a beautiful manicure and pedicure and an awesome Microdermabrasion.
